We are looking for an experienced Investment Manager to originate, structure and execute commercial real estate and development debt opportunities across the UK.

This is a senior, client-facing role within an established real estate debt platform, combining new business origination, transaction execution, relationship management and market strategy.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong network across the UK property finance market and a proven ability to take lending opportunities from initial enquiry through credit approval and completion.

The Role
You will be responsible for sourcing and progressing new lending opportunities across commercial real estate, development finance and selected living sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

Originating new real estate debt opportunities through brokers, borrowers, advisers and market contacts
Building and maintaining a strong network of introducers and repeat clients
Managing a high-quality pipeline of lending opportunities
Assessing borrower quality, asset type, location, leverage, business plan and exit strategy
Structuring transactions and negotiating commercial terms
Preparing and presenting investment papers for Credit Committee
Managing deals through due diligence, legal documentation and completion
Identifying downside risks and proposing appropriate mitigants
Monitoring competitor activity, market pricing and borrower demand
Sharing market intelligence and supporting origination strategy
Working closely with Credit, Legal, Operations and Asset Management teams
Maintaining relationships after completion to support refinancing and repeat lending opportunities
Mentoring junior investment professionals and supporting team development

What We’re Looking For
You should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in UK real estate debt, lending, finance or a similar transactional environment.

Relevant backgrounds may include:

Banks
Debt funds
Alternative lenders
Real estate finance platforms
Property finance brokers
Institutional lenders
You should also bring:

Proven experience originating and executing real estate debt transactions
A strong network of brokers, borrowers and advisers
Good understanding of commercial real estate lending and development finance
Ability to assess opportunities quickly and form a clear commercial view
Experience negotiating terms and structuring lending solutions
Familiarity with credit papers, financial models, development appraisals and valuations
Strong understanding of leverage, cash flow, exit risk and transaction structure
Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and credit committees
Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills
Ability to balance borrower needs with appropriate risk-adjusted lending decisions
Strong organisation and pipeline-management discipline
Additional Experience That Would Be Valuable
It would be advantageous if you have:

Experience across multiple UK real estate sectors
Existing relationships with active market intermediaries
Experience supporting junior investment professionals
A relevant professional qualification such as RICS, CFA or CAIA
